Praia da Engenhoca is the first beach on the Quatro Praias Trail. The beach is among the favorites of surfers who like to catch waves in Itacaré.
A practically deserted beach, it has a rough sea with plenty of waves, attracting many surfers, especially the surf schools that invade Engenhoca with their students from 6:00 am, and therefore it is difficult to find the beach empty. It is surrounded by coconut trees and has a beautiful view. The small river Burundanga flows to the right of the beach, bringing fresh water that you can bathe in.
Don't expect a super structure on the beach, a few stalls sell drinks, coconut water and snacks, like a good tapioca, for you to spend the day, satisfying the tourist who does not give up a minimum structure to enjoy the beach.
A good tip is to have a cane juice with lemon, pineapple and ginger after taking a walk to the end of the beach and you will find some very beautiful stones, climb these stones and you will have some natural pools with an incredible view. Take a dip, watch the fish and enjoy the moment in this hidden and unexplored place in Praia da Engenhoca.
