Itacaré is very famous for its beaches, but some regions keep charms far beyond the sea, such as the city's beautiful waterfalls. The region has natural beauties that please tourists of all ages and tastes. Itacaré is surrounded not only by beautiful waterfalls, but also by great trails, spectacular rivers and an incredible green area.
Among the best waterfalls in Itacaré are the Cachoeira da Usina (both the one located in Taboquinhas and the one on the Jeribucaçú River), the Cachoeira do Rio do Engenho, or Cachoeira do Cleandro located in a Cocoa farm. A preservation fee is required. The Tijuípe Waterfall located on the banks of the BA 001 also charges admission to access the area that has a good structure to receive tourists. Another spectacular waterfall is the Cachoeira da Pancada Grande located within the rural settlement of the same name.
Visiting Itacaré and not seeing any of its waterfalls is like visiting Italy and not seeing Rome!
