Most of the 3 km of the Prainha trail is protected from the sun, as it is inside the forest. The Prainha trail starts at Ribeira beach, the last of the 4 urban beaches in Itacaré. Right at the beginning of the trail there is a natural pool that dams the waters of the river, on the left. A little further on, at the beginning of the trail, there is a trail on the right side that leads to a very refreshing spring of mineral water. It is worth taking a look!
The trail takes about an hour and Prainha is beautiful and well worth a visit - no wonder it is often voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil!
